Travel to Krakow

Nowadays, traveling to Krakow is easy as pie. There are different modes of transportation to choose from and the price range will fit any kind of budget. But if you are already staying in Krakow, you really should consider going on foot when touring the city. The reason for that is because you’ll see the historical sites up close and personal. But if you’re not a walker, then you can rent a bicycle or ride the bus.

There’s a major airport in Krakow called The Balice airport. If you go to Krakow by air, your starting point would of course be the airport. At the airport, you can do everything from hear mass to exchange your cash into the Polish currency called the zloty. Even if you don’t have someone waiting for you at the airport, you can easily go to your destination because there are lots of available modes of transportation at the airport.

Many people do not prefer to take the bus when traveling to Poland, more specifically, to Krakow. The reason for that is because a bus is not cheaper than the other modes of transportation, but it is not exactly the most comfortable way of traveling either. Taking the bus into Poland is a feat usually done only by those people coming in from the north or the Baltic countries.

Getting around Krakow with a car is not always an easy task. The Poles have a different way of driving than from what you are used to. If you really want to get around by car, then it is best that you hire or ask someone else to drive for you. If you are staying at Krakow during the holidays or any other kind of event, be more careful; the police are more alert.

Many people who have been to Krakow before choose trains over other modes of transportation. Just be warned if it’s your first time riding a train headed to Krakow, the train staff usually speak in their native tongue, so if you talk in English, take time learning a few Polish phrases to help you get by. The amount you will spend on a train ride won’t rob the bank.
